Fees: Guitar tuition costs £30 per hour.

Duration: All lessons are a minimum of 1 hour but If a lesson of shorter duration is required the full hourly fee is still payable. (NB courses may contain lessons of different durations, please ask at time of booking).

Frequency: Mike recommends weekly lessons to ensure continuity and progression in your learning. However you may prefer to book fortnightly. One-off lessons are also available at Mike’s discretion, for example in preparation for an examination.

Equipment: You will need to bring your own guitar. All students are also asked to bring a USB memory stick or rewritable CD for audio examples Mike may wish to give you. Rewritable CDs are available from Mike at a cost of £1
If you are learning electric guitar there is amplification available for the lesson but you may require your own amplifier at home for practice purposes.
If you are learning acoustic guitar then you will need to bring your own plectrums.
It is advisable that all students have a metronome and tuner at home for practice purposes

Practice: Mike recommends all his students practice on a regular basis.

Payment: Fees are due one month in advance and are payable either by cash or cheque.

Cancellations: 5 working days notice is required for cancellation of a lesson and Mike will endeavour to rearrange another time slot. If however 5 working days notice is not given, or Mike is unable to rearrange the lesson you may still be liable for the fees.

Music books: Mike creates his own materials for teaching. However should you be studying for an exam or a specific book is recommended by Mike, the appropriate materials must be provided at your own expense.
